DEAN ROSTOHAR
Dean Rostohar was born in 1965. in Zagreb, Croatia where he live and work. From his early days he has been interested in Martial arts, and in cold weapons and fire arms, and whenever he has a chance he studies and trains them. At the age of 12 he joins a shooting club where he stays for about 4 years and has noticeable results
In 1984 to 1986 he serves the Army and during that time he performs the duty and collects the experience as a Team leader, Infantry platoon leader and platoon leader of the BVP M80 (combat armoured infantry vehicle). For his results during training he has been awarded many times, and among other as the best shooter of the unit. He finishes school for low ranking officer and leaves the army with the rank of Corporal.
With the beginning of the aggression on the Republic of Croatia in 1991. and the beginning of the War for independence, he volunteers and joins the acting membership of Special Police Unit of MUP RH, and is a member of a respected unit SJP (Special Police Force - SWAT) "Alfa" since its foundation (7/1991.). With the Special unit "Alfa" he immediately joins the defence of the integrity of the Republic of Croatia.
During his service in the SJP "Alfa" he performed the duties of the Warrior arts and Close combat Instructor, Leader of the Special combat group, and Special combat platoon leader. He also performed the duties of VIP security, patrol leader and many others.
In one of the government based actions behind enemy lines, he was heavily wounded what he survives with help of his own will and strength. After only few months of rehabilitation he returns to the unit where he continues with the duties in the MUP RH (Ministry of interior of Croatia).
He also participated in many anticriminal and antiterrorist actions where he accomplished noticeable results. In SJP "Alfa" he stayed until 1999. when he was honourably retired. For his effort and contribution in SJP, Dean Rostohar received many awards and excellent gradings from his Unit Commander.

He is also member of IPA, International Police Assocciation. He is very proud of being a member of the Croatian Special unit "Alfa" and for being with his fellow colleagues when it was needed.
Dean Rostohar has 30 years of experience in the Martial and Warrior arts. He started training with Shotokan Karate at the age of 10 and practiced it for about 10 years. With Karate he trained and studied other martial arts and sports and had also trained Kung Fu Wing Chun, Jeet Kun Do, Judo, Jujutsu, Wrestling, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, and had also trained and competed in Budokai, Kick box, and Semi and Full contact.
He also trains and studies fighting skills with weapons, such as: Ken jutsu – combat with the Japanese sword Katana, Tanto jutsu – fighting knife techniques, Archery, Tonfa – buton (now in police use), Bo jutsu – fighting techniques with various sticks and many other. In many of these skills he accomplished noticeable results and master levels.
However he was not satisfied by the way these arts were taught and presented (as sports, without true moral, psychological, physical, mental, philosophical and spiritual values), and so he looked for a true art and has finally found true value in the Warrior art – Bujinkan Ninjutsu/Ninpo Taijutsu.
He understood Ninjutsu/Ninpo Taijutsu as a philosophy of life and a true Warrior art of self-defence and survival, while other arts became sports and completely lost their essence. To understand better and perfect this Warrior art he visited Japan many times where he became a personal student of the Worldly known Greatmaster of Ninjutsu – Ninpo Budo Taijutsu, Soke Masaaki Hatsumi, the Headmaster of Bujinkan Dojo. He also travelled all over the World to study and learn Warrior and Martial arts. Warrior art of Ninjutsu he used in the War, where it helped him a lot and countlessly saved his life.
Dean Rostohar loves the nature and has half of his childhood spent in the forest of Slavonija, where he has become deeply familiar with the nature and with life in nature. All his life he has been connected with the nature and he is living surrounded by the nature. In this way he studies the nature and survival in all conditions, which has helped him in the War situations.
Dean Rostohar has always been interested with traditional and modern Fighting arts, and of becoming a complete Warrior, and according to that he also studies and trains all aspects of military and police skills.
Dean Rostohar is very proud and honoured to have so many friends, true Fighters and Warriors all over the world from which he learned different Warrior skills, and exchanged experiences, who try through their honest and pure heart, to fight against injustice, lies, for freedom and peace for mankind, and trying to make this world a better place for living.
